Today I will commit to ‘Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might.’ (Solomon) I commit to this because my actions, my life affects how others learn of Christ. And I commit to a diligent study of the Bible for that is where my understanding of God begins and grows. And I commit to avoid “physical selfishness, mental slovenliness, moral obtuseness, spiritual density” (Chambers, From My Utmost for His Highest Classic Edition, February 15) because everyone in my sphere of influence will suffer. All this because my beginning and end is in the Lord.

Romans 14:7
The truth is that we neither live nor die as self-contained units. At every turn life links us to God…
Phillips

Today I will go to God’s altar, conscious that my journey affects others.
