Today I will listen to God alone and not to the serpent.
Genesis 3:4-5
“You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

The serpent tempts with pleasure (delicious fruit), false wisdom (eyes opened), and the desire to be our own god.
Today I will offer on God’s altar all my distracted listening.
