Today I will value my relationship with Christ above all else and clutch onto it at all cost. It is a love relationship initiated by God, manifested through Christ, and upheld daily-even moment by moment-by the Holy Spirit.

It is so strong and permanent that Paul declares “nothing can separate us” from it. It defies everything the world can throw at us, for God is greater than the world He created. It exists even when our lives are filled with the darkness the Psalmist knew.

Therefore, we must constantly seek God, even in darkness; this is why we must seek God for who He is and not what he can do for us, which is the trial given to Job. And why we must pray unceasingly, for that is our channel to the relationship.

Romans 8:35,38-39

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Psalm 88:3,18

I am overwhelmed with troubles…darkness is my closest friend.
