The Mathematics of Faith

The direction of our lives may be determined by how we answer this question: is Christ greater than the world, equal to it, or less than the world? (The world here means the power, forces, and events in the non-spiritual world and to the unbelieving, godless nature of humanity in general.)
If Christ is greater than this world, then we have the power to live abundantly, overcome adversity, and secure an eternal peace.
If Christ is equal to the forces of this world and can only provide what the world already provides, then He is unnecessary in our lives and what we have, we have; what we lack, we lack.
If Christ is less than this world, is powerless or indifferent to our needs, then we abandon all hope, for the world will ultimately disappoint and destroy us.
Greater than, equal to, or less then: it’s a simple mathematical statement. Which do you choose?
