Today I will affirm one of the realities of life: it is short and full of sorrows. With this in mind, the Christian response is the most practical and satisfying: live it fully with Christ as the core.
Psalm 30:6
When things were quiet and life was easy, I said in arrogance,
“Nothing can shake me.” (Voice)
When I felt secure, I said,
“I will never be shaken.” (NIV)
And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved. (KJV)
Job: Humankind, born of woman,
has a few brief years with much suffering. (Job 14:2)
Today I will bring to God’s altar my misspent time.
