Today I will identify my spiritual poverty so that I may ask that I may receive; and having asked, know that I will receive, if not what I asked for, certainly a deeper relationship. The act of asking is itself a profound gift for it acknowledges the proper relationship with our God, reinforces the channel of connectedness, and prioritizes the gift of the Spirit above all else.
Luke 10:10,13
For everyone who asks receives;
If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
NIV
Today I will go to God’s altar for the simple purpose of asking.
