Today I will focus on being a disciple* and not a savior, which is exclusively Christ’s province. My confidence as a Christ follower comes from my relationship with Christ and not via special skills I may have. So much energy and enthusiasm is lost by assuming Christ’s job. My focus must always be on my relationship of boundless trust.

*Disciple: a learner who follows a master teacher; someone who is following Jesus, being changed by Jesus, and is committed to the entering into relationships to help people trust and follow Jesus.
