Today I will focus on the Holy Spirit within me to lead me to Christ as savior.
There is no escaping the need for a savior. Isaiah laments “All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags” and asks, “How then can we be saved?” Isaiah 64:5-6.
The Psalmist pleads, “Restore us, O God of hosts; show the light of your countenance, and we shall be saved.” Psalm 80:3.
The answer to Isaiah’s lament and the Psalmist’s plea is that we are restored through the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth, who directs us to a life passionately devoted to Christ: to Christ as a savior and not a mere mascot of faith.
John 16:13-14
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you.

Today I will follow the Holy Spirit to God’s altar.
