Life is a Funhouse of sorts with these real differences: we will experience hurt, the terrors will be real and we may become so overwhelmed with the ride that we lose faith that the journey can end in light and not darkness, in peace and not fear, in hope and not despair.
Today I will search for what sets my heart on fire, that I may use it for God’s glory.
Today I will seek God that I may be found by Him. I will look and destroy those idols in “high places” that distract or prevent me from seeking Him fully.
Today I will make the decision, in the deepest center of my will, to die to sin and live to follow wholeheartedly after Jesus. Not merely to refrain, suppress or curb sin but to remove it entirely.
Today I will attempt to truly see Jesus for who He is, and not only for what He has done, especially for me. I will elevate my limited sight with the grace of the Holy Spirit and look for Him in different forms.
Today I will live more humbly and gratefully, more simply and reverently because of the staggering cost of Gethsemane and Calvary. There is nothing more costly than to pay the highest price for what you love the most, and that is what God did in Christ for us. 1 Peter...
