Today I will level the path to my soul for the King, clear away all obstacles from a broken relationship. I will prepare a highway to my heart. I will look beyond the false highs of pleasure the world cherishes and the dark valleys of discouragement the world inflicts. Rather, I will embrace the peace offered by God: a peace and comfort—not without pain or disappointments—always with a firm belief that God is in control and all will be made whole in God’s time.
Isaiah 40:3-5
A voice of one who cries: Prepare in the wilderness the way of the Lord [clear away the obstacles]; make straight and smooth in the desert a highway for our God!
Every valley shall be lifted and filled up, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the crooked and uneven shall be made straight and level, and the rough places a plain.
