Today I will prepare myself anew for the Lord’s return: to reassess my stewardship of His gifts, to respond gratefully to His graces, to follow His commands, to love Him and neighbor, to be diligent in service, to hold Him above all else. And how shall this be accomplished? Not in fear or compulsion but in joyful expectation. Not in self-confidence but in faith. In other words, being led by hand as an adoring, trusting child.
