Today I will think carefully about what I am doing; am I putting God first in all things? Am I finishing my temple before His, am I living in luxury while God’s house is in ruins? If so, I will always be thirsty, never filled, and never warm.
Haggai 1:4-6
“Is it a time for you yourselves to be living in your paneled houses, while this house (the temple) remains a ruin?” Now this is what the Lord Almighty says: “Give careful thought to your ways. You have planted much, but harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it.”
NIV
Today I will sacrifice my self-serving choices on God’s altar.
