Today I will temper my daily service “successes” with the big picture of Christ’s salvation.
The focus of believers’ lives and preaching should be “God is merciful and will save,” not “We have power; look at us.” Christians should focus their ministries on the gospel of salvation, on God’s great work on the cross, and not get sidetracked with other matters, especially those that would draw attention to themselves and how God may be using them. Service is good, but not primary.

Believers Bible Commentary
Luke 10:20

Amplified Bible
Today I will go to God’s altar to celebrate His love, not my service.
