Today I will seek the reality of Christ in my life and ask Him to open my eyes to the illusions of men. “Many of the cruel things in life spring from the fact that we suffer from illusions.” (Chambers) These illusions come from demanding of a human being (including ourself!) that which cannot be given. We long for something and are not satisfied. “There is only one Being Who can satisfy the last aching abyss of the human heart, and this is the Lord Jesus Christ.” (Chambers). So let us trust in the Lord.
John 2:24-25
But Jesus didn’t trust them, for he knew mankind to the core. No one needed to tell him how changeable human nature is!
