Today I will turn to God that I may enter His kingdom of heaven. I will do so continually, for my natural inclination is to turn from God. It is my own power, aggressiveness, and self-seeking that I must turn from and then assume childlike humility and simplicity to call on God’s mercy. The kingdom I am called to is the inner kingdom of peace, relationship, and surrender. Christ’s warning is specific and strong:
“Truly I tell you, unless you turn”,
“I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless you repent”,
“I promise you this if you don’t turn your lives around”,
“I tell all of you with certainty, unless you change”,
“I can guarantee this truth: unless you change”
Matthew 18:3
And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
