Invite Love To Burst Upon Me
Today I will welcome, invite, await spontaneous love to burst upon me. I will not attempt to concoct, manufacture or create love, for that is impossible. Yes, I will engage in prayer, study, and others means to make myself available to God’s love, but it is not my efforts that will produce love, but God within me.

Grace Upon Grace
How often do we fail in love? What is God’s response? Are we discarded like a broken vessel? “Grace doesn’t throw you away. It stitches you back together, lets the seam breathe, and calls it beautiful.” (Tina Francis in Forward Day by Day.) “For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.” (John 1:16) Abundant grace for the abundant life.

Your Grandpa Loves You
My friend, Sebastian, writes a daily blog to his 7 grandchildren. He has been doing this for years without interruption. With profound clarity and simplicity, Sebastian applies Holy Scripture in a way that makes sense to his grandchildren. He has allowed me to share his writings, below.
"It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness."
(Lamentations 3:22–23)
Every morning we wake up with such "good intentions." We're full of energy, enthusiasm, hope and anticipation! Through God's Mercy, we are given the opportunity to make each day the "best version of ourselves." All our shortcomings, all of our guilt and all of our past indiscretions "exist no more." We are made new in God's love. Take advantage of this occasion. Make today be the best day of your life.
