Today I will honor the Giver over the gift. We receive many good gifts over a lifetime. The gift of new life, of eternal life with the Creator, is especially precious. But more to be honored is God, the Giver of all good things. I must take my eye off myself and focus it on my God.

Galatians 6:14
Can’t you see the central issue in all this? It is not what you and I do… It is what God is doing, and he is creating something totally new, a free life!

Today I will praise God at His altar for what He is doing.
