Today I will pave my path with acceptable offerings to God (sacrifices of praise and thanksgiving, my will, my right to myself, my possessions) by being reconciled to my brothers and sisters. The acceptable gift, therefore, is love for it is the only thing uniquely ours that we can offer or withhold. This love may also be described as our redeemed self, surrendered to, and transformed by Christ.
Matthew 5:23-24
Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.

Today I will go to God’s altar seeking the love of Christ to equip me for the difficult task of reconciliation.
