Today I will seek the indisputable friendship of Christ over the undependable friendship of the world: a friendship that is constant, not one that is as useless as a flood one day or a dry stream another day.

Job 6:15-17
But my brothers are as undependable as intermittent streams,
as the streams that overflow
when darkened by thawing ice
and swollen with melting snow,
but that stop flowing in the dry season,
and in the heat vanish from their channels.
NIV

Today I will go to God’s altar confident that it will be what it is.
