Today I will exalt God with the menial, commonplace, simple and unsophisticated elements and experiences of life, for that is where and how Christ touched us and entered our lives. It is in these unlikely and unseemly places where Christ resides, far from grand visions and spectacular experiences, that we must ground our thoughts to service and mission.
If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
Today I will accept my responsibility to do the forgettable tasks which I may encounter on my way to God’s altar to offer my sacrifice of thanksgiving.
