Today I will heed the call and seek out the “necessity laid upon me” to “preach” the gospel, not upon a pulpit, but through the everyday thoughts and actions of my life. I must listen to God’s “mysterious, irresistible, supernatural” (Chambers) voice, coming through “any and all circumstances, bad or good” (Chambers) for His call. Pity me if I neglect it for, I will rob myself of the opportunity to grow in relationship and service.
The call may not be lofty. It may not come with a thunderclap. But it will come with a necessity.
1 Corinthians 9:16
For necessity is laid upon me: yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!
