Today I will ask, seek, and knock that I may receive God’s blessings. There are two doors upon which to knock. The first door is my heart. The hinges on the door to my heart are rusty from lack of use. I must lubricate them with the oil of gladness (a symbol of joy, blessing, and the presence of God) and knock the door open to see my needs and be humble. Then there is Christ’s heart; it is both a fearful and humble thing to approach such a door, yet we are passionately called to do so, and the genuineness and validity of His call is His Atonement.

Luke 11:9

So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

Today I will go to God’s altar knowing that His door will always open to my knock.
