Today I will ask more. It is not that God withholds, but that man does not ask. By asking, we strip away pride, self-sufficiency, rationality, idols, and everything else so that “God can strip away their idols and expose the gaping hole in their hearts.” (Chambers, Utmost Companion, December 17) Asking has a power we cannot understand.

Matthew 7:7-8
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
KJV

Today I will find my way to God’s altar by asking for directions.

Photo interpretation: At what door do we knock to find Christ?
