Today I will carry the Christmas message into the New Year. The message is that we are not cheap jewelry left on open shelves to be handled unceremoniously by bargain seekers, but the most precious of custom-made fine art crafted by the ultimate craftsman. For this reason, we must think and act as priceless treasures. And the measure of our treasure is God’s gift of His Son.
For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.
Amplified Bible, Classic Edition
Today I will offer myself as the most precious gift I can offer at God’s altar, for I am made by the gift-giver Himself.
